Last minute dinner at Eddie V's. I've been going to Eddie V's for years now and I keep coming back because the food and service do not disappoint.

Came out to celebrate my cousin's recent promotion. We all had cocktails to start. My cousin ordered a "smokey" Old Fashioned. It was presented beautifully and smelled great.

We all ordered 8oz filets. One of my friends ordered it with the Parmesan and horseradish crust (wish I would have done that too because it was so good!!). We also ordered one side which was the truffle Mac & Cheese and it fed all four of us. Steak was cooked perfectly. We also ordered a bottle of Honig which is one of my favorite wines.

Our server Mike took wonderful care of us. Very friendly and attentive. It was a wonderful experience like always.

We called for reservations and were told they could fit us in the bar area.
Which turned out to be weird since the dining room was massive and had exactly 9 people in it all night long....

    But whatever.

We had drinks to start, lots of fun cocktail choices and some nice bourbon and whiskeys. Everyone got what they ordered but theyw ere out of what I asked for.  So I swapped to something else.

We later heard they had a bunch of other options not on the menu that we were not offered.  We also saw bottles of whiskey sitting on the counter not on the menu or offered either...weird.

    Oysters were amazing.
Potato appetizer was great, the brussels sprouts looked fantastic and got swooped up quick.  Service was very friendly.  We had a few other table apps that everyone all devoured.

I got a 12oz filet mignon medium rare with aged blue cheese topping.
That was the right choice.  It was nearly rare, and right on the cusp making it cooked exactly how I wanted it.  Medium rare should always be to the left of medium closer to rare in my opinion.  Can't uncook it if it's over....

    Fantastic flavor, so so good.

We had more drinks, and everyone enjoyed them.
The smoked old fashioned is really good.  They use Elijah Craig for the base so of course it's fantastic.

We ordered the bananas flambe and some dutch apple cobbler.

The bananas were enjoyed by some but the apple cobbler was eaten up nearly before the flames burned off on the flamba]e.  So good.

Great service and despite the weird seating (there were eight of us...not sure why we didn't get the dining room) and drink choices, I had a really great meal and evening.

The live music was also very good.

I finally experienced Eddie V's for the first time and WHOA!! The service, the atmosphere, the FOOD. . .All of it was so amazing! Eddie V's is the place you go to if you want the best of everything.

We made reservations and went on a Friday night and there was a live band. This is obviously something that happens often because there is an area just for live music, which seemed to be quite interesting and fun. This is where the bar area is pretty spacious as well, but we decided to sit in the main dining area and our experience was nothing short of amazing.

We ordered the lump crab cake and it was a super thick piece on top of some kind of yummy drizzle. I've had several different lump crab cakes and this one is top notch and big enough to share for an appetizer. For my main dish, I ordered the shrimp which is topped with crab meat. As soon as I bit into it, I melted! I was in love!! I highly recommend this dish. You will NOT be disappointed. They are also not afraid to season their food. I didn't need to ask for salt and pepper either. You should also try the lobster mash potatoes. . .the chives and cheese is just what I needed. We also ordered several Lemon Drop Martini's that paired well with the shrimp.

The best part about Eddie V's (besides the food) was the service, it was stellar. We had the pleasure of having Joel as our waiter. He made our experience one we will never ever forget. Don't leave without desert! The Banana Foster was exceptional! I will go back to Eddie V's over and over again and I'd suggest for everyone to do the same.

This was my first time here. It was great! The customer service was excellent not to mention the food and exquisite wine. We definitely will be back if we are ever back in this area.

We've been coming here for Christmas and Birthday celebrations for the past few years now and what always amazes me is their exquisite attention to details and service.  The food is really good, definitely one of the best restaurant steaks around even though it's billed as a seafood restaurant.  The seafood is really good also, of course.  But what keeps bringing us back is the personal attention each of the staff bring whenever we come.

Our latest outing here was for our daughter's 18th birthday dinner.  My wife had the scallops for the first time and she has been thinking about them for two weeks now.  They were cooked perfectly and very fresh.  My daughters and I all had the 8 oz filet, which is our usual, and as always it is one of the best cuts of meat in town and seasoned perfectly.

For starters, we had Caesar Salads and Lobster Bisque's.  The Lobster Bisque is really good, creamy soup with a nice large chunk of lobster tail.  The Caesar Salads though honestly aren't my favorite.  It's kind of a deconstructed salad with large leafs of lettuce.  I usually get the goat cheese salad which I think is better.

They provided us with a nicely decorated birthday desert for my daughter, with her name written on the plate, which was quite impressive.  They also provided gluten free bread for my wife as they have us in their system as being gluten sensitive.  Again, very nice touches and excellent attention to details and service.
